Easy-to-Use SVdP Client Tracking Software: ServWare
The National Council of the United States Society of St. Vincent de Paul is pleased to announce that ServWare is officially a National Partner with our organization. ServWare is Vincentian-developed client tracking software, customized for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s Councils, District Councils and Conferences.
“We developed this software from first-hand knowledge of the needs of our local Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference in Dayton, Ohio,” said Mark Stine, co-founder. Mark’s wife Catherine recognized the need for tracking software, as so many Vincentians have observed, while serving her local Conference. They knew it had to be low cost, be easy to learn, use 21st century technology and be customizable to meet any Vincentian needs.
“You can track client services from anywhere that has Internet access,” said Mark. Utilizing Amazon Web Services, the system provides excellent security and backup of data. The cost is very affordable:
• Conference/District Council: Set up fee – $75.00
• Monthly subscription fee – $25.00
• Address import – $200.00
ServWare can link Conferences within a District together. This linking enables Districts to easily view the activities of all their Conferences. Additionally, Vincentians can be assigned n a particular friend in need. The system reduces client fraud, as it tracks all visits, disbursements and other client experiences within your Council, District or Conference.
This system is getting rave reviews from many of our members, including chapters in Milwaukee, South Carolina, Indiana, Texas and Ohio. Detroit is piloting the system at this time. For more information, click here.

American Made Socks at Low Prices
The National Council of the United States Society of St. Vincent de Paul is pleased to announce that C&M Mills is officially a National Partner with our organization. C&M Mills manufactures and sell socks in the USA. In addition, C&M Mills is the primary distribution point of items from the internationally known Gildan Apparel Company, a manufacturer of t-shirts and undergarments, including slightly imperfect underwear.
Whether your Society of St. Vincent de Paul has a thrift store and / or provides socks and underwear to friends-in-need, C&M can help. Howard Lee Cohn, owner of C&M Mills, learned from an early age from his father Charles the importance of helping charities. “It is the right thing to do,” said Howard.
Howard is dedicated through C&M to helping our mission, passing on its overhead costs to the large retailers that sell their products, instead of to the Society. The company was founded by Howard’s grandfather Harry Luis Cohn in 1905. This long history benefits the Society. “All our equipment is paid for,” Howard added, “allowing C&M to offer the Society great prices.” The cost of men’s underwear, for example, is three pairs for $1.65. Shipping costs are determined by delivery location and the size of the order.
C&M is currently working with a few individual Society of St. Vincent de Paul Councils and Conferences and the reviews are very positive. C&M is described as offering great pricing, products and service. Check them out!
